Pitbull Brothers is a renowned martial arts team founded by brothers Patrício and Patricky Freire, both two of the greatest fighters in Brazilian and world MMA history, and their late coach Bruno Gouveia. The brothers are known not only for their skills in the sport, but also for their integrity and values, constantly praised for their conduct outside of fights as well. The Pitbull Brothers' story in the world of fighting began in Natal, Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil, where they started training Jiu-Jitsu, the art in which they received most of their training up to black belt under the late Professor Alexandre Bosco, and later added other disciplines before migrating to MMA. The nickname "Pitbull" was given to Patrício Freire because of his physique, personality, and fighting style. His brother, Patricky, ended up inheriting the nickname by association. Over the years, the Freire brothers have built a significant legacy in the world of MMA, both winning belts in Bellator MMA and holding the organization's greatest records.
