The Brazilian Jiu Jitsu club Karkara Grenoble has been based in Montbonnot, on the outskirts of Grenoble, since 2016. This martial art is suitable for all types of profiles, from competitors to people wishing to get back in shape and also to those looking for an effective self-defense system. Historically, this martial art is derived from Japanese Judo and Ju-Jitsu. It promotes the concept that a person can defend themselves against a heavier and stronger opponent by taking them to the ground and using techniques such as chokes, joint locks, or muscle compressions.
