Icon Jiu Jitsu Team Belfast is a premier Brazilian Jiu Jitsu academy located in the heart of Belfast, offering world-class training for adults and children. Part of the international Icon Jiu Jitsu Team, the academy brings a global standard of excellence to Northern Ireland's BJJ community. The academy features a purpose-built, full-time training facility with top-class mats, modern changing rooms, hot showers, and plenty of free on-site parking. Every aspect of the facility has been designed to provide a professional, comfortable training environment that supports student progression and makes training as smooth and enjoyable as possible. Icon Belfast was founded in 2018 by head coach David Terry, a BJJ black belt with over 17 years of training under the legendary Zé Marcello. David brought the Icon team's culture of ego-free training and welcoming atmosphere to Belfast, creating a space where beginners and advanced practitioners alike can develop their skills. The coaching team also includes Dave Hill (Deputy Head Coach/Wrestling Coach) and Tony McMorrow (Children's Programme Director), ensuring expert instruction across all programs and age groups.
