What were what were today's intervals? Speaker 3: It was five rounds of five minutes as hard as you can. Speaker 1: You did this too. Speaker 3: With one minute break. Yeah. Speaker 2: That's a tough one. Speaker 1: Five rounds. So five minutes hard as you can, one minute break and then back on it. Speaker 3: And then back to back. Speaker 2: 30 minutes. Speaker 1: Dude, that's brutal. Speaker 3: 30 minutes totally, yeah. Speaker 1: That's that's fucking tough. Speaker 2: Is that harder than Tabatas? Speaker 4: Tabata breads. Speaker 3: Tabatas. It doesn't like turn on actually. Probably have to change the fucking change the batteries. Yeah. But right now I'm just Speaker 1: You got to put batteries. It's uh, I do I also do like, yeah, different intervals throughout the week. Speaker 2: Dude, I remember doing Tabatas and thinking I was gonna die. Speaker 1: Put this back on here. Speaker 3: Fucking um, Speaker 2: Put your money where your mouth is. Speaker 3: Friday sucks too. Friday it's 40 seconds sprint, like as hard as you fucking can for 40 seconds, then 20 second rest and you do 10 rounds of it. Speaker 1: Oh, we had a tough Friday one. Speaker 2: Dude, we had a tough like two weeks straight. Speaker 1: You guys have been killing it. Speaker 4: Really really inspiring. Speaker 1: It's hard. The cardio sessions are insane. Speaker 2: It's brutal because you want to keep the pace of whoever's next to you and you really want to win. That's the goal. And it just hurts. There's no getting used to it too. Every time we're all improving little by little, so it's like it never you're never able to coast. Speaker 1: What what just happened? Was it on Friday that we did the uh, Speaker 2: We did the adjust the bike, yeah. Speaker 1: Or two days ago? Was it Monday? Speaker 2: Oh yeah, it was Monday. Speaker 1: Oh, it was Monday. Speaker 2: Then I wrestled. Oh my god, that day was rough. Speaker 1: Dude, so Monday, what did we do? We did we did stationary bike actually. Speaker 2: We did stationary bike. Speaker 1: 20 second sprint, 40 second rest for what? For 20 20 rounds, 20 minutes. But the 40 second rest is like the goal is to get as many calories as possible. Speaker 2: At the end of the 20 minutes. Speaker 1: So like you're not really resting for the 40 seconds. You're just you're just coasting a little bit and then 20 seconds goes on, so then you sprint and then the coast is like you're trying to keep a high coast. And then Liam actually came pretty close to beating me. You killed it in that one. Speaker 2: I came close to Nicky Rod on that one, bro. It was fucking Speaker 1: Damn. Did you? Speaker 2: I was I was closer to Nicky Rod than I was to you guys. Speaker 1: Uh, Speaker 4: I don't think so. Speaker 2: Reach for the stars. Speaker 1: Liam did well. Speaker 2: I did I did really well, bro. That's what he's saying. I did really well. Speaker 1: Yeah, so the stationary bike is my worst one actually. I didn't realize. Speaker 2: I realized it was my best one. I thought it was going to be my worst. Speaker 4: Is stationary bike easier than assault though, right? Speaker 2: Harder. Way harder. Speaker 1: Supposedly. I do better on the assault bike. Speaker 2: It's the man's instrument. Speaker 1: All right, here here this is the thing too though. This is the thing is that we had our resistance level at like six or seven. Speaker 2: I started there. Speaker 1: He he brought it down to five or four. Speaker 2: It equates with the calories. I just burn less calories. Speaker 1: But we're getting we're getting more of a pump in our legs. Speaker 4: Hmm. Speaker 2: My legs are pretty pumped up. Speaker 1: So I I'd say that he cheated, but then Speaker 2: I still won the second time. Speaker 1: So I won the second time. What are you talking about? Speaker 2: On the five? Speaker 1: You lost. You came in last. Speaker 2: No. Speaker 1: And then I beat Liam. You and Speaker 2: I got I beat Liam by two. Speaker 1: I beat Liam by two. Speaker 2: I beat Liam by 1.5. Speaker 1: I well, I came in not including Nicky Rod, I came in first. Speaker 2: You can't count Nicky Rod. Speaker 1: For the second one. Speaker 1: Just wanted to uh make sure that Speaker 2: But the first the first one, the 20 minute one. Tell us about that. Speaker 1: Yeah. Speaker 4: He lost signal. Speaker 1: He's going through a tunnel. Speaker 2: He's sitting at home on the couch. Speaker 1: Uh, it was fucking insane. Speaker 2: Yeah, it's insane. And also it's like you're more comfortable being exhausted and you can push yourself harder in my opinion. Speaker 2: Yeah. Um, and also it improves uh, well, the other cardio we're doing was ATVing for seven hours straight across the. Speaker 1: Oh, that's not cardio. Dude, it's like Speaker 2: I think it's in he's just he's just grinding. Speaker 1: That's not cardio. Speaker 3: Fine. Speaker 1: Rage bait. Speaker 2: Uh, bro, seven hours in Hidden Falls Adventure Park. Speaker 1: Is that what it's called? Yep, Hidden Falls Adventure Park. Dude, what what an adventure. What an adventure that was. We so I used Nicky Rod's, I don't know what the brand the older one is. Speaker 4: Uh, Yamaha. Speaker 2: That's a Yamaha? Speaker 4: Honda. Speaker 2: Suzuki? Mitsubishi? Speaker 1: Nah, it might be it might be a Suzuki. Speaker 2: One of those things. And uh, anyway, it was so fucking fun. We're like ripping around seven hours straight. Uh, they lost me. I don't know how exactly, but Speaker 1: Yeah, bro. Speaker 4: Seven hours is is insane. Speaker 2: Non-stop. Speaker 1: Yeah. People go there and like they'll ride for like an hour and then they take, you know, a break or whatever. Speaker 4: You didn't like stop have lunch. You didn't Speaker 1: We took we stopped and got Coca-Colas from a vending machine. Speaker 2: Yeah, it was Speaker 1: You kept going. Speaker 4: Nice. Speaker 1: Yeah, we just we were riding for like three and a half hours. Then we got we needed some sugar and water, so we stopped by the store and Speaker 2: The general store, it's called. Speaker 1: Yeah, in on the park. It's 3200 acres of land and there's like 600 plus miles of trails to take. Speaker 4: It's uh, you have to pay? Speaker 1: Yeah, but it's like $30. Speaker 4: For the day? Speaker 1: For the day. Speaker 2: Nothing. Speaker 1: Yeah, $30 bucks. Speaker 2: Make that in one day. I do. Speaker 4: Chump change. Speaker 1: So we were easy money. We stopped to get a Coke, some Gatorade, some water, and we got back on and just started. It's like imagine doing a mild jog, maybe a little bit faster of a jog. Speaker 4: For seven hours. Speaker 1: But it's so fun for seven hours. You're burning so many calories. Speaker 2: My thumb was exhausted. Speaker 1: I didn't get that fatigued. Speaker 4: Yeah, I got that. Speaker 2: I got thumb I got thumb fatigue. Sick of these things, bro. How yeah, like halfway through I'm like, damn, bro, how are they fucking just repping this thumb thing? Speaker 4: What'd you do? Speaker 2: What do you mean what I do? Speaker 4: To to counteract it. Speaker 2: I just like every now and then we'd like kind of stop for a sec or if there was a straightaway, I would just go like this this and just gun it. Speaker 1: Cerebral palsy. Speaker 2: And it's terrible cuz you have no like this is not a very accurate movement compared to this. So Speaker 1: Well, technically this should be more accurate than this. Speaker 2: No, this this you can dial in exactly how much pressure versus Speaker 1: But this don't you have way more muscles? Speaker 2: No, you're you're bumping on that thing. You're Speaker 1: What gear were you guys cruising in the most? Like fourth? Speaker 2: First. Speaker 1: No, no, second and third. Second and third. Speaker 4: Oh, really? Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah. Cuz it's like there's some straightaways where you can use fourth, but a lot of it's windy turns. It might be up up some rocks, so you might even have to put it into first to climb up this thing and then you're ripping it through the the woods. There's some Speaker 4: I forget, is it better to be in first when you're going uphill? Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah. Speaker 4: Even though it requires more power. Speaker 1: Well, that's more torque. Yeah, yeah. So Speaker 2: That's because that's more torque. Yeah. That's why you would want to Speaker 4: So first you would want to put it in first as opposed to fourth. Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah. Speaker 2: You know on a regular bicycle if you're going uphill, you have to go to like a lower gear, so you can go faster. Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah. Speaker 2: So you can pedal faster, but you're moving a little slower up the hill. Versus downhill, you want to go to higher gear, so you could like pedal slow, but you're ripping it down the hill cuz there's no resistance. Speaker 1: It's the same thing. Speaker 4: But on a quad it it it seems like it would require more power to go up. Speaker 2: That first gear is is more power. Speaker 1: I would say it's more power per rotation. Speaker 2: I'm not the not an expert in this. Speaker 1: Yeah, it's like a it's like a bigger gear. So like it has a lot of torque, more of a lever. Speaker 2: Angular momentum. I don't know. Speaker 1: Uh-huh. Speaker 2: Anyway, it was so fun. Speaker 4: Do you know what happens if you put it in first gear and you like get to the point where you're supposed to change to the next gear and you just don't? Speaker 2: You overheat your engine, right? Like RPMs. Speaker 1: I mean, you're not going to Speaker 4: Obviously it's not good for it, but I don't know why it's not good for it. Speaker 1: I I mean, I don't actually know the like Speaker 4: Maybe this is boring, but Speaker 1: You're just ripping it, you know, you have no more power. It's just there's like a power curve, you know, it's like it speeds up and then it's just yeah, your RPMs are going to you know, on the on your car, there's like a little red thing like 1,000, 2,000, 6,000 RPMs and you're doing that. Speaker 2: You're redlining. Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah. Speaker 2: And then boom, now you're switching. Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah. Speaker 2: First gear. So then it like jumps down. Um, yeah, and they they lost me. So they're on faster quads. I'm like trying to keep up. It's a little bumpy. I have to I can't just rip through these bumps. Speaker 1: Also, it's kind of dry too. So it's like when we're riding, it's kicking up some dirt. Speaker 2: Oh yeah. Speaker 4: Did you you had helmet? Like a goggles? Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah. Speaker 2: Uh, goggles, helmet and uh, so they start to pull away. So I'm like following the cloud of dust that they leave behind. They literally left me in the dust. Speaker 1: He eats my dust. He eats my dust. They did. Speaker 2: So they pull away and I'm like, okay, if I just I see a cloud of dust, I'll like go there. I see a turn. I'm like, okay, cloud of dust here. I go. And then little by little this cloud of dust starts to dissipate. I'm like, then there's a cloud of dust on both on a fork in the trail and I'm like, I'll go that way. And I go and then no more dust. I'm like, I don't know where to go. So I like keep going for a little bit. And uh, then I'm like, I'm going for a while. And I'm like, there are a few times where I like took this turn instead of that turn. And I don't know it's all one so it all led to one exit. Speaker 1: So basically there's like a main road that goes through the uh, the camp, we can call it, like the the adventure park. There's a main road. Then there's yeah, A to B. Then on either side, there's hundreds of different trails that you can take, but they're one way trails. So we're on the main road. Nicky Rod rips it down one trail. And he's riding fast, like he knows how to ride. And this one is like it's through the woods with a bunch of S turns. So he's going fast, so I'm ripping it fast and it's a one way. We're going for about like five minutes in what feels like five minutes. Five Speaker 2: It's probably a lot longer than five. Speaker 1: I don't think it was cuz we walked the trail back is the thing. It's like five minutes on a quad, you're going pretty far, you know. Speaker 4: You walked the trail back to try to find Ethan. Speaker 1: So eventually we get to a point where there's like a ledge and Nicky Rod rips it off the ledge and I go off the ledge and then we look behind and I was like, oh, I don't think Ethan should do this. So we're kind of waiting. Speaker 2: Oh, that's okay. Speaker 1: And then we're waiting. Speaker 2: It wasn't for the ledge that. Speaker 1: I mean, I'm just keeping up with Nicky Rod. I'm not looking behind me at all, which I should have. That's my fault. Speaker 2: Yeah, fuck you. Speaker 1: So I stop or we stop, we turn our engines off and we don't hear anything. Speaker 2: Imagine that's exactly when I turned my engine off. Speaker 1: That'd be so funny. Speaker 2: Just crickets. Speaker 1: So we're like, you know, since it's one way and you go fast, you're going like, you know, maybe 40 miles an hour through this thing. It's like, we don't want to ride the quads in the opposite direction. So we're like, all right, let's go for a walk. I'm assuming that there's like a point where like maybe he's stuck in the mud or you had to uh climb some uh some rocks and you got he stalled out or something. So we're walking. We don't see him. We're yelling for Ethan. We don't hear anything. And we walk we walk all the way back and we get back to the main road and we're like, Ethan's nowhere to be found. And at this point, when we were walking, we were walking for a good like 20 minutes going towards the main road and I was like, imagining, I was being positive with Nicky Rod. Just like, oh, this guy's, you know, Speaker 3: I was also yelling. Speaker 1: Stalled out or whatever. Speaker 4: Ethan, he stalled out. What the hell? Speaker 1: But in my head, I was like, what if he flew off the trail and there is a flipped quad. And then I was imagining I'm just my body's like in a tree. And I was imagining actually Nicky. Nicky being like, you guys are fucking retarded. I can't believe you guys got hurt. I was like, no one's going to have sympathy for us. Speaker 2: Nope. Speaker 4: Yeah, no, of course not. Speaker 1: Everyone that we C4 and big plates. Speaker 2: Ah, C4 and heavyweights. Speaker 1: And explosive traits. Speaker 2: And some impressive rates. Strong like primates. You'll say, ah, great when you deadlift dominates. Speaker 1: Was that good? Speaker 2: No. It was incredible. Speaker 1: Really bad. Speaker 2: No. Speaker 1: But this, this is good. Speaker 2: Are you feeling stuck? Most guys just accept feeling stuck. Stress, low energy, bad sleep, like it's normal. But it's not. Speaker 2: So, my perspective, I'm just you guys walked the trail and then you go back and you keep ripping it. Speaker 1: We we it takes about about an hour for us to walk the trail and go back. Speaker 2: During that entire hour, I was just like, well, I'm lost. Speaker 1: Whoa. Speaker 2: I'm I was just going to the I was like, I found like a the main road, I guess. I was just like, like fucking ripping it. Speaker 1: And no phones, right? Speaker 2: I didn't bring my phone. Speaker 1: Okay. This is another show. We're we ride for three and a half hours, right? We get we refuel. We go back to the truck even to to to oh, to actually refuel. So we refuel our bodies. We have to refuel the ATVs as well. So we go to the truck to get gas. I have my phone on me. Nicky Rod has his phone on him. I'm like, Ethan, you should grab your phone. And he was like, nah. Speaker 2: To refuel. Speaker 1: I don't want to lose it. Speaker 2: Leave it in the truck. Speaker 1: Then the second half of the of the ride, that's when he gets fucking lost. Speaker 2: So then I get lost. I was and I remember Damian being like, are you bringing your phone? I'm like, nah. I remember throwing in the car, closing the door. Speaker 1: Oh, fuck. So, I'm fucking ripping around, having a blast. I'm like, whatever. They'll hopefully I'm no, I am thinking like, I hope they don't think I'm dead cuz that would ruin their experience. I would hope, you know, you Speaker 4: At what point did you give up and say he's probably fine? Speaker 1: We never gave up. Speaker 2: I'm on. Speaker 1: You think me and Nicky Rod are giving up? We never gave up. Speaker 2: So, I fucking I'm ripping around, having a blast, hoping they're also just having fun. And I like rode by road, I make my way back to the general store first and then where we parked. And I'm the truck's locked. So I like look in the window. I'm like, oh, there's my phone. Speaker 1: Can you get the window? Speaker 2: Fuck. Speaker 1: Hey, guys, I'm okay, but Nicky Rod's phone broke the truck. Speaker 2: So, I get there and I'm like, okay, maybe they'll come back here. I'll wait. So I have like uh, I crack open a Waterloo. We have a cooler, Waterloo. I ate a bag of chips. I'm like, let me just stay here for a little bit. If they don't come back here in time, I'll like leave a note somehow. So I'm like, I'm there looking for how to leave a note for these guys. Just to be like, guys, I made it. Just fucking we'll meet back here later. I try writing a note in the sticks in in the ground like I'm like, ah, they're not going to fucking see this. I swear. I'm like taking pieces of bark and sticks and I'm like, this is dumb. They're not going to fucking see this shit. What do I do? So the car's coated in dust. So I write on the car like I made it back. He goes riding around again. We, after getting back to our quads, we have to make it back to the truck. So we have to finish out whatever trail we're on, whatever and go back to the truck. Now, there's a main road, so think about like a main road like this, and the truck is here and we're over here. There's a little trail that you can take that goes back to the truck, but it's kind of like a little offshoot. So, we're going straight towards the truck. At the last second, Nicky Rod just decides to make a quick left turn to take a quick trail to go to the truck. And it's it's uphill. Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah. So Speaker 1: So as Nicky Rod's going up the hill, you see he was wearing a pink helmet. So you see a a pink helmet and the yellow quad. Speaker 4: Wow. Speaker 1: And then you just see Nicky Rod go. Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah. Speaker 1: We just start screaming. Let's go. Speaker 2: It was so fucking awesome, bro. That the reuniting was the highlight of the whole thing. Like, what are the odds? We would like we would have just passed right by each other. Speaker 1: Yeah, we were cuz we were we're like, we got to get back to the truck. So we were ripping it down the main road trying to get back to the truck. And then the last second decides to take this decides to turn into a small trail. Speaker 4: Wow. Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah. And then we just start screaming. Let's go. Speaker 4: So how long in total were you lost for? Speaker 1: Over an hour. Speaker 2: Yeah, well over an hour. Speaker 1: But I was I was having a blast. Speaker 2: And they were panicking. Speaker 1: We were walking. It sucks too. Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah. Speaker 1: Wait, you walk a whole trail. Speaker 4: So you walked 30 minutes and then 30 minutes back. Speaker 1: There and then go back. So they spent an hour looking for you, bro. Just walking. And then we had to go to then as soon as we got back to the quads, we had we just decided to go back to the truck. There was never like, let's try to find him. It was like, we walked the trail. We walked back, go to the truck. Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah. Speaker 1: But it took that long. Speaker 2: I knew you were going to go to the truck. Speaker 1: It took that long. Speaker 2: Perfect timing. Speaker 1: A part of me wishes they went to the truck and saw the note. And one of them was like, oh, bro, he left a note. Speaker 2: Oh, yeah, yeah. Speaker 1: I doubt they would have seen the note. Speaker 2: You think so? Speaker 1: It's right next to Nicky Rod's. Speaker 2: It's it's on the Yeah, maybe. I don't know. Like I think by far, if you're efficient in your movements, your cardio is going to feel way better, of course. But once you have that efficiency, man, I I my cardio has gotten so much better since doing, you know, these assault bike rounds, zone two, zone three, like on a routine. What do you guys think? Speaker 3: Uh, five rounds. Speaker 2: Five rounds. So that's 30 minutes total on the bike. Um, yeah, like just versions of that throughout the week. Um, like uh, at least like chat GPT said has has like uh three hard cardio sessions uh per week. So it's Monday, Wednesday, Friday. Cuz it's like you you'll have guys that can like run a marathon or even high level wrestlers with great cardio. They can still gas out in jiu-jitsu because like Speaker 2: They're just inefficient.
