The Australian Elite Team is Melbourne's elite martial arts gym, established in 2004. Born from humble beginnings in a garage with just one student, the gym has grown under the visionary leadership of head coach Ninos Dammo into one of Australia's largest and most dominant BJJ/MMA gyms. In just a few short years, AET has surged to unprecedented heights, earning recognition throughout the country. The Australian Elite Team offers comprehensive training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (Gi and No-Gi), MMA, Muay Thai, boxing, and wrestling for all ages and skill levels. Their experienced coaching staff provides classes for kids, teens, adults, and women, whether you're a complete beginner or seasoned competitor. The gym is known for its strong competition team and complete skill development approach. The coaching team is led by Ninos Dammo (founder and head coach, 3rd degree black belt), alongside world-class instructors including Thomas David (black belt BJJ and pro MMA fighter), Sam Greco (3x world kickboxing champion and K1 legend), Blake Caparello (IBO World LHW Champion), Michael Tohme (2nd degree black belt), and UFC fighter Jake Matthews. Additional coaches include Bilal Abdo (wrestling, represented Australia at 2010 Commonwealth Games), Colby Allen (black belt), and women's coaches Abby Julian (brown belt) and Emily Talevski (black belt).

Fight Club Jiu-Jitsu Australia

Fight Club Jiu-Jitsu is a premier martial arts academy with two locations on the Gold Coast and in Beenleigh, Queensland. Founded by Professor Daniel Lima, a 5th-degree black belt and pioneer in Jiu-Jitsu and MMA in Australia, Fight Club has grown into one of Queensland's strongest and most respected teams. The academy offers unlimited classes in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Mixed Martial Arts, and Muay Thai for both adults and children. Professor Daniel Lima brings world-class credentials to Fight Club, including titles as Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu National Champion, North American Submission Wrestling Champion, and XFC Australian Champion. Born in Brasilia, Brazil, Daniel co-founded Fight Club Jiu-Jitsu with Marcio Bittencourt in Brazil before expanding the organization internationally. He has competed at the highest levels in both BJJ and MMA across Brazil, USA, Japan, New Zealand, Philippines, and Australia, earning a rank of #2 in the world by the Shooto Association. The coaching team includes accomplished instructors such as Gavin Hain (2nd-degree black belt), a former XFC amateur lightweight champion with extensive experience in kickboxing and MMA; Kaela Banney (black belt), the first female XFC Atomweight champion in Australia with over 15 years of martial arts experience; and Thomas Fogarty (brown belt).
