Frank Barca has trained every year at 10th Planet Jiu-jitsu HQ, in Hollywood, since 2006, coming in contact with many MMA Legends and many other elite Jiu Jitsu and MMA fighters in Hollywood at one of the most sought after training facilities, Legends Gym. Since then, Frank has returned 13 times to continue to learn and train under his Master, Eddie Bravo, the founder of 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu. He is the first Australian to fully embrace these submission strategies and is teaching this unique style of submission grappling Downunder in Melbourne. It started in 2006 for Barca as he embarked on a journey to Hollywood to see for himself what the fuss was all about. He chased down the founder of 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu, Eddie Bravo, and found something truly unique and very effective. So effective in fact, that he returned to LA many more times in the subsequent 11 years. Frank is not only a regular on the 10th Planet JJ mat under Eddie Bravo’s direct guidance, but was also awarded 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu Affiliation by Eddie Bravo personally during his 3rd trip to LA in October 2008, and his Bluebelt.

‎FLOKI JIU JITSU

Floki Jiu Jitsu is a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu academy in Morphett Vale, South Australia. The gym welcomes everyone from complete beginners to seasoned competitors, kids to adults, casual rollers to those chasing medals. The academy believes training should feel challenging and rewarding, but also welcoming and fun. Classes cover both Gi and No-Gi training, with a curriculum that blends technique, fitness, and practical self-defence skills. The gym runs classes 7 days a week, including dedicated kids' sessions, and offers a free trial week for new students. Floki Jiu Jitsu combines personalised instruction with a strong focus on fundamentals. Every class starts with a check-in to understand what students are working on and how coaches can help. From there, students split into small groups and receive hands-on coaching tailored to their goals.
