Carlson Gracie Ipanema

Mauro Ayres Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (MABJJ) is an official licensed school of the Carlson Gracie Team, representing the legendary lineage under the command of Mestre Carlson Gracie Jr. Located in the heart of Ipanema, Rio de Janeiro, this academy embodies the philosophy of "Equilíbrio através do Esporte" (Balance Through Sport), focusing not only on technical excellence but also on developing well-rounded individuals through martial arts training. The academy is led by Mauro "Maurinho" Ayres, a highly accomplished 5th degree black belt with 29 years of jiu-jitsu experience and 20 years as a black belt. Born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, Mauro began his jiu-jitsu journey in 1995 and became a black belt in 2004 (officially recognized by CBJJ/IBJJF in 2006). His competitive record is exceptional, with numerous IBJJF World Master Championships including gold medals in 2023, multiple Pan-American titles, and European championships. Most recently, he won the 2025 World Master silver medal and earned the #2 ranking worldwide in the Master 4 All Weights division. His teaching philosophy emphasizes simplifying the learning of the gentle art and making jiu-jitsu accessible to all ages, fitness levels, and experience. The instructing team includes Alex "Lekinho" Gonzaga (4th degree black belt, 25 years experience, 2014 CBJJO World Champion) and Antônio "Toninho" Martins (1st degree black belt, 2017 IBJJF International Masters bronze medalist, 2024 FJJRIO Ranking Champion). ERON - Escola De Lutas

ERON - Escola de Lutas is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu academy located in Campo Grande, Rio de Janeiro, affiliated with GFTEAM (Grappling Fight Team), one of Brazil's most prominent BJJ organizations. Founded in July 2020, the academy is led by Professor Emmanuel Rodrigues de Oliveira Neto, who brings the GFTEAM methodology and competitive spirit to the Campo Grande community. As part of the GFTEAM network, ERON benefits from a proven training system developed by some of Brazil's most accomplished competitors and coaches. The academy focuses on technical excellence in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu while maintaining the welcoming, family-oriented atmosphere that GFTEAM affiliates are known for. Students train in both gi and no-gi grappling, with instruction suitable for practitioners of all experience levels. GFTeam Inhaúma

Located at Rua Padre Januário, 390, Inhaúma, near the Inhaúma metro station, we are an academy that offers Jiu-Jitsu classes for adults and children, as well as classes specifically for women, focusing on self-defense. We go beyond sports and competitive instruction, promoting performance, safety, and well-being for our students by delivering a high-value service. Ethics, citizenship, solidarity, professionalism, teamwork, communication, dialogue, and respect are our tools for social and personal transformation. Our focus is on improving the human being as a whole within society, valuing human relationships and love for others as a legacy for society.

GFTeam Vila Valqueire

Initiated in 1996 at Gama Filho University, Taquara campus, in the North Zone of Rio de Janeiro, with the encouragement of professors Pedro Gama Filho and Paulo Jardim, the pioneers in building the jiu-jitsu team, professors Júlio César, Marcus Bello, and Alexandre Baraúna took the first steps towards the growth and expansion of jiu-jitsu. Initially, the work was developed at UGF Taquara and, later, as the space became too small for the team's growth, it moved to the UGF Piedade campus, which offered better infrastructure. It also began with centers in the Vila da Penha neighborhood, a suburb of Rio, and expanded beyond Rio de Janeiro to Sergipe, specifically the capital Aracaju, with Professor Marcus Bello. We highlight the important participation of professors Pedro Gama Filho and Paulo Jardim, who consistently offered support to the team and its athletes, providing scholarships and meeting needs as much as possible, contributing to the team's growth. Through professors Júlio César, Marcus Bello, and Alexandre Baraúna, the team began training black belts and expanding its branches throughout Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and internationally. With the professionalization of the team, broadening its horizons to include training athletes not only in Jiu-Jitsu but also in MMA, the need arose to change the team's name, as we could not associate MMA with an educational institution. Furthermore, with the passing of Professor Pedro Gama Filho, the support of UGF was lost, leading to a transition and restructuring of the team. Thus, GFTeam (Grappling Fight Team) was born. In less than two years, GFTeam had already consolidated itself, continuing its work and expanding even further. Currently, the team has more than 250 representatives spread throughout the world, with plans to grow even more. The headquarters are now located in the Méier neighborhood, in the North Zone of Rio de Janeiro, with facilities that cater to all athletes.

Haki Escola de Lutas is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu academy located in São Cristóvão, Rio de Janeiro, led by Anderson Gonçalves. The school is affiliated with the Double Five Jiu-Jitsu team, one of Brazil's most respected BJJ organizations founded by black belt instructors João Gabriel Rocha, Rafael Formiga, and Leandro "Tatu" Escobar.
