Arka Aruana is the original academy of the prestigious ARKA network, founded in 2016 in Aracaju, Sergipe by three exceptional black belts: Professor Wancler Oliveira, his brother Professor Wagner Oliveira, and Professor Adriano Déda. As the flagship training center, Arka Aruana represents over two decades of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu excellence and championship-level instruction. The academy is led by Professor Wancler Oliveira, a 4th degree black belt who began his jiu-jitsu journey at age 17 in Aracaju. With over 20 years of experience, Professor Wancler has achieved an impressive competitive record including 2x World Champion, 2x Pan Champion, 4x Brazilian Champion, European Champion, and Copa Podio Champion at the black belt level. His expertise and championship pedigree provide students with world-class instruction rooted in proven competitive success. Located in the Aruana neighborhood's Zona de Expansão, Arka Training Center offers a comprehensive martial arts and fitness program beyond traditional BJJ. Students can train in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, cross training, functional training, and weight training, providing a complete approach to combat sports and physical conditioning.
