Manu Perez, head instructor and owner of 10th Planet Barcelona, is a 10th Planet Jiu-Jitsu black belt under Eddie Bravo and Mick Broster. His journey in the 10th Planet system has taken him around the world, allowing him to train, compete, and coach internationally. His dedication to mastering and sharing no-gi jiu-jitsu even led him to move to the UK, where he trained extensively before returning to Spain to establish 10th Planet Barcelona. Originally from Spain, Manu has developed a deep understanding of the 10th Planet system through years of high-level training and competition. His technical expertise, combined with a strong passion for coaching, creates an elite learning environment where students of all levels can thrive.

Barcelona Jiu Jitsu Haubert Team

The Barcelona Jiu-Jitsu Academy was founded in 2004 by Professor Rafael Haubert, initially known as Brazilian Top Team (BTT). Since its inception, the team began its transformation into what is now the leading Jiu-Jitsu school in Catalonia, training the first outstanding teachers and competitors in the region. In 2004 and 2005, Rafael organized in Barcelona the first BJJ camps in Europe, with the presence of legends such as Zé Mario Sperry, Rodrigo Minotauro, Rogerio Minotouro, Ricardo Arona, among others. He was also a pioneer in the first Jiu-Jitsu Catalonia Cups (2007 and 2008) and the first selective for the World Pro World Cup in Abu Dhabi in 2009. That same year, Rafael moved to the United Arab Emirates, leaving the academy in the hands of David Blankenheimer, one of his closest students, who was already collaborating in the organization, management and teaching. In 2009, David took over the complete management of the academy, which was renamed Barcelona Jiu-Jitsu - Haubert Team. Under his leadership, the academy continued to grow and accumulate titles, standing out as the first team to dethrone the champion of Spain, achieving a resounding victory in the X Spanish BJJ Championship. The Barcelona Jiu-Jitsu Academy has been fundamental for the diffusion of BJJ in Spain, training the first competitors who conquered European and world championships in youth, adult and master categories. To date, it has trained around 100 black belts.

Circle Academy

Circle Academy is a premier martial arts academy located in the heart of Gràcia, Barcelona, offering comprehensive training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, MMA, Yoga, and Budokon. The academy features a spacious tatami mat area, changing rooms, and a weights section, providing everything needed for optimal training. With a focus on creating a welcoming community atmosphere, Circle Academy emphasizes respect, friendship, and positive energy in every class. The academy is led by Javier Feliubadaló, a fourth-degree black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and third-degree black belt in Kickboxing, with over 25 years of teaching experience. Javier is a true pioneer of martial arts in Barcelona—he was the first instructor to regularly teach Muay Thai in the city, co-founded Muay Thai Barcelona, and was Spain's first BJJ instructor. He is also a black belt in Kung-fu and Karate-Do, having trained with native masters around the world. As an IBJJF European Champion and double World Cup gold medalist (Gi and No-Gi), Javier has developed a unique, progressive teaching methodology. He is also a Military Hand-to-Hand Combat Instructor for Special Operations units and co-founder of the Cícero Costha Barcelona team, having trained numerous champions and black belts who now lead successful academies throughout Catalonia. The teaching team also includes Darien Diego, a professional MMA fighter with over 20 years of experience in combat sports including BJJ, Judo, Boxing, Kickboxing, Wrestling, Muay Thai, and Grappling, and Irene, who teaches Budokon and Yoga classes focused on mobility and wellness. Circle Academy offers a wide range of programs for all ages and skill levels, from beginners to advanced competitors, with classes throughout the week including early morning sessions, afternoon kids programs, and evening adult classes.

Evolution Force Team

XFit Eixample is one of Barcelona's most emblematic martial arts and fitness centers, born from the total renovation of Eixample Fitness health club in 2016. With over 30 years of experience in the fitness industry, XFit Eixample maintains the spirit of its predecessor while offering state-of-the-art facilities and a comprehensive range of martial arts, combat sports, and fitness programs. The gym boasts over 2,000 square meters of training space including extensive tatami areas for martial arts and grappling, a modern weight training room with the latest equipment, multiple cardio zones, and a luxurious spa area featuring a Caribbean biothermal shower, steam sauna, Finnish sauna, heated loungers, hydromassage spa, and chromotherapy. Círculo de Jiu Jitsu is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu academy located in the heart of Madrid, Spain, dedicated to providing high-quality BJJ instruction in both gi and no-gi formats. The coaching staff includes Matias Estevez, Bruce Pereira, Gianfranco Marrone, Pablo González-Bueno, Mauricio Olivo, and Carlota Prendes Larios. Tatamisfera es una Academia de artes marciales fundada en julio de 2015 por Valdir "Kabeza" Linhares, cinturón negro de 3er grado en Jiu-jitsu brasileiro (BJJ) y luchador profesional de MMA (9-3). El gimnasio cuenta con instalaciones de calidad únicas en Madrid para empezar tu camino como artista marcial y emprender un cambio de vida. Ofrece todas las actividades y disciplinas necesarias para realizar un entrenamiento completo tanto para luchadores experimentados como iniciantes con el fin de alcanzar metas deportivas personales y profesionales. Las principales actividades son Jiu-Jitsu, MMA, Muay Thai, Grappling, Capoeira y acondicionamiento físico (Functional Training y Cross Training). Checkmat Nexus Alicante

Nexus Academy is a world-class Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Muay Thai academy located in Sant Joan D'Alacant, Alicante, Spain. Founded in 2023 by elite black belts Darragh O Conaill and Gabriela Fechter, Nexus represents the next chapter in European BJJ excellence. The academy is affiliated with Checkmat, one of the most successful competition teams in the world. Nexus Academy caters to all ages and skill levels, from complete beginners to experienced competitors. The academy offers an 8-week beginner program designed specifically for those new to martial arts, ensuring students start alongside others at the same level. The facility provides elite-level training combined with a fun and friendly atmosphere, making it accessible whether you're looking to compete at the highest level or simply seeking a new hobby. Led by head instructor Darragh O Conaill, a 3rd degree black belt and 4-time European Champion with 18 years of training experience, and co-founder Gabriela Fechter, a 2-time IBJJF World Champion who managed one of Rio de Janeiro's most famous academies, students receive instruction from some of Europe's most accomplished practitioners. The Muay Thai program is led by Jonathan Rodrigues from Rio de Janeiro, a World Champion who represented Brazil in Bangkok. The coaching team brings a wealth of competition experience and a proven track record of developing champions at all belt levels.
