Throughout history weapons and warriors have been joined together in their pursuit for victory on the battlefield. It has only been within the last 50 years that the two have been segregated. Today a gap exists between hand-to-hand combat and the employment of weapons of warfare. We aim to bridge that gap through "combatives". ​ By utilizing modern combat tactics and the current weapons systems of this era we train fighting men and women who are serious about their own safety and that of their family. Classes are offered in person at our Auburndale facility, shown online through our Patreon channel and held on a seminar basis through our mobile training center.

Academy Capital Jiu-Jitsu

Capital Jiu Jitsu is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and After School Center located in Boca Raton, Florida. The academy is led by Professor Carlos Santos, who began his Jiu-Jitsu journey in 2001 in his native city of São Paulo, Brazil. In 2006, Professor Santos continued developing his knowledge under Master Fabio Gurgel, one of the most renowned figures in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu history. Master Gurgel has produced many world champions in the sport and is known for his exceptional teaching methodology and technical expertise. After years of dedicated training and instruction, Professor Santos was awarded his Black Belt by Master Gurgel in 2013. Capital Jiu Jitsu offers both traditional Gi and No-Gi training programs, focusing on technical mastery and self-defense. The academy emphasizes the art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu with a commitment to helping students develop their skills in a supportive and professional environment.

LCCT Brazilian Jiu Jitsu

Early forms of jiu-jitsu included a variety of techniques such as joint locks, throws, and grappling, designed to subdue opponents effectively. It was part of a broader martial arts culture that included various weapon-based arts. By the late 19th century, jiu-jitsu began to be formalized into distinct schools or styles. Notable figures, such as Mitsuyo Maeda and Jigoro Kano, emerged during this time. Kano, a student of jiu-jitsu, founded judo in 1882, which focused on throwing techniques and became a sport. By the mid-20th century, jiu-jitsu as a distinct practice began to wane in Japan, largely replaced by judo and other martial arts. However, its legacy lived on, particularly in Brazil, where it evolved into Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, gaining international fame and recognition. The journey of jiu-jitsu from Japan to Brazil highlights its adaptability and enduring influence in the martial arts world.

Limitless BJJ

At Limitless BJJ, our Cincinnati [Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brazilian_jiu-jitsu) (BJJ) classes all follow a similar structure in layout. To begin, we line up in front of the instructor, bow in, and do a light five minute jog around the mats. Afterward, we do a more formal warm-up for roughly 10-15 minutes. Additionally, this warm-up will include bear crawls, crab walks, cartwheels, shrimps, and a variety of other movements. Once our warm-up has officially concluded, we will gather in the main area of the mats and the instructor will begin teaching technique. At this point, we dedicate a large portion of each class to teaching and drilling techniques with a partner. As a result, everyone gets consistent hands-on practice that helps build confidence and skill. In general, the technique portion of class will be the longest duration of the class’ segments. Then, for the later part of class, we spend ~30 minutes sparring. Meanwhile, new people are invited to watch the more experienced members spar for their first time. Eventually, as their experience grows, they can join in and begin rolling themselves. (Note you must be a 2 stripe white belt or have 6 month of formal BJJ experience to be able to freely roll/spar.)

Alliance Coral Springs is part of the world-renowned Alliance Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu team, the most successful Jiu-Jitsu organization in the history of the sport. Alliance has won 9 consecutive World titles as a team from 2008 to 2016, plus two previous World trophies in 1998 and 1999. The team was founded by legendary figures including Romero "Jacare" Cavalcanti (a black belt under Rolls Gracie), Fabio Gurgel, Fernando Gurgel, and Alexandre "Gigi" Paiva. Led by Professor Nei Seda, a 6th degree black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Judo black belt, Alliance Coral Springs carries on the elite traditions of the Alliance team. Professor Nei began training at age 6 with Judo in his native Rio de Janeiro, achieving a black belt before transitioning to Jiu-Jitsu in 1987 under the legendary Master Romero "Jacare" Cavalcanti. He later trained and instructed at Alexandre "Gigi" Paiva's school, earning his black belt in 1998. With multiple state and national titles, Professor Nei brings decades of competition experience and technical expertise to the academy.
