Do you like to train Hard? What is the hardest session you have ever done? JT & Joey have experienced some brutal training sessions at BJJ and in the gym. Working at 150% of your capacity does not equal 150% better results. We promote Quality over Quantity in training and are firm believers of less but better. But every now and again doing crazy over the top sessions can push your limits, to find out what you are physically and mentally capable of. Here is an entertaining collection of training tales that have traumatised the boys and can serve as lessons in what not to do.
Do you fight to the death every roll? Got a team mate that goes 1000% but doesn't compete? If you have been on the wrong end of a training partner going super hard, it can be a bad time. In order to deal with a mat Hero you have to do your best to protect yourself. Maybe your team mate is bigger, stronger and perhaps even a higher belt and came for war. Regardless of how you feel- tired, flat or too relaxed, you have to bring a better intention and change your expectation. JT & Joey explore this topic and give some key pointers on how to deal with and negotiate a team mate who has no chill.
