Welcome to Arctic Training Center, a high-level, Palestinian-owned Jiu Jitsu gym in Palos Heights, IL! Our gym is not only family-oriented, but highly competitive. We have built up a team that is strong on the mats and culturally. The instructors, many who still compete to this day, provide a home away from home in all our classes. No matter if you sign up for Jiu Jitsu, Muay Thai, Personal Training and Nutrition, or Women’s Jiu Jitsu (in its own building!), you will receive hands-on personalized instruction and can join any of our social gatherings. We focus on a strong mindset as well as effective, efficient Jiu Jitsu for self defense and especially competition. And here – we practice what we preach. Many of our instructors, including co-owner Dania Seaver, the first Palestinian woman to earn a black belt, still compete on the mat. This has made us the best competition Jiu Jitsu gym in the area. But we are more than just a competition gym. Culture matters just as much. Every year we lead 10-15 social gatherings and outings to build camaraderie and togetherness. All we do is to support everyone who wants to take martial arts lessons. Whatever you need, we are here for you!
