Jiu-Jitsu & Mental Health: How BJJ Community, Exercise and Friendships makes life worthwhile.
From Bulletproof For BJJ
Is Jiu-Jitsu your Therapy? The world is a better place after a good hard roll. There are so many layers as to why we become addicted to this crazy thing and why it is so unique. The connection between training partners, the shared struggles, the trust and the mutual understanding that people outside Jiu-Jitsu just don't understand.
Deep Bonds are formed and the journey is a shared adventure, which is the antidote to modern societies isolation and lack of community. Mental health, anxiety and depression make us feel dislocated and alone. Office work, zoom calls, drowning in emails and bills it's hard to feel happy.
You go to BJJ class, meet new people, strangle them, get pummelled and then go for a meal after.
The connections you make help to balance the ups & downs life throws at you.
