**Description:** The Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Finnish Open 2017 is a competition held on April 22-23, 2017, at the Tikkurila Trio Sport Center in Vantaa. The event features various weight and absolute categories for male and female competitors across different belt levels.

The Finnish Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation (FBJJF) offers sponsorships for champions. Blue, purple, and brown/black belt weight category champions (blue and purple/brown/black for women) receive 800 euros for travel costs to the IBJJF Mundial 2017. All absolute category champions receive 400 euros for travel costs to the IBJJF Mundials 2017 or any competition within the next year. Sponsorships are reimbursements for verified travel costs (flights, registration, accommodation).

The competition follows official IBJJF rules, with specific fight times for each belt level. Weigh-ins occur with the kimono before the first fight. Allowed kimono colors are white, blue, and black. Enrollment fees vary by registration date, with the final deadline on April 16, 2017. Spectator tickets are available for 10€ per day.
