**Description:** Dominance Competitions is excited to be back and providing you with a COVIDSafe competition environment. As restrictions are constantly changing in response to case numbers, we will send out an email to all registered competitors the week before the competition with all the information and any requirements for the competition day. If at any point you need to withdraw due to illness we will carry forward your registration credit to use later in the year.

***PLEASE NOTE OUR COMPETITIONS WILL NOW BE HELD ON A SUNDAY RATHER THAN SATURDAY***

ROUND ROBIN

Kids 3 minute matches / Teens 4 minute matches

Separate brackets for white, grey, coloured belts & teens

Round robin format

IBJJF rules

Staggered start times and medal presentations

Better competitor match ups

DIVISIONS & WEIGH INS

You will notice there is one big weight division for each of the belts/ages in the registration. This is just an arbritary division. Actual weight divisions will still be decided on the day once everyone weighs in to ensure the best possible match ups. If you do not fall within the lower/upper weight limits please get in touch with us before registering.

We do not have set weight categories (that often lead to divisons with only 1 or 2 competitors!). Competitors will be bracketed with the closest 4 competitors in weight, to ensure everyone gets at least 4 matches, win or lose.

Points for each match result are as follows:

Win by sub - 3 points

Win by points - 2 points

Draw - 1 point

Loss - 0 points

At the end of all rounds points are tallied up and whoever in the bracket has the most points is the winner.

This is a Gi competition.

FORMAT

 Weigh in times will be messaged and emailed to parents when registrations close on the Friday before the competition. Make sure you check these times so you know when to arrive at the venue. Once all the competitors in that divison are weighed in, brackets will be created. Medals we will be awarded as soon as each bracket within the divisions is complete.

Registrations are limited to 120 competitors and sell out in advance. Be sure to get in early to avoid disappointment.
