**Description:** Kids Jiu Jitsu Competition -  No Gi Wrestling /Jitsu Competition with Submissions for 4-17 yrs, No Gi.

This competition will be run in our gym. Clare Jiujitsu Academy on google maps. We'll be tight on space so we are asking people coming to bring as few people as they can to the event. This is our schedule for this weekend. We'll be running 4 mats. Kids Ages 4-6 and 7-9 can arrive at 9.45 to sign waivers and we'll match up these 2 age groups into divisions of about 6 kids per bracket.

We'll run a round robin tournament for each bracket. 1 minute wrestling matches. Holding mount or back for 10 seconds is a win. Otherwise every position scores 2 points. The referee will be keeping track of the score and will decide who wins. The refs will stop any match where they feel there is a risk of injury to a child. This will be up to the ref. If a child attempts a submission the ref will stop them and keep the match going.

 Please remind parents that our referees will be reffing 300 to 400 matches in a few hours and that mistakes will be made. This is unavoidable and any abuse or complaining to our refs will not be tolerated.

Kids Ages 10-12 can arrive at 11 and we'll run their competition the same way. We'll match the kids up into groups of 6 again. Matches will be 1.30 long for this age group. Same rules.

Teens can arrive at 12. We'll do 3 minute matches where most submissions will be legal. Straight ankle lock, guillotine, head and arm chokes. kimuras, omoplatas all legal.No heel hooks, knee bars or spinal locks.

The aim of this competition is to give the kids as many matches as we can and we'll try to accomodate people as best as we can.
