# Oman National Team Jiu-Jitsu Professional Championship 2026 / National Trials Edition 2026

## Overview

**Event Type:** Competition

**Description:** **

* Open only for Omani athletes.

* Adult Division Only (+18 Years Old).

* Gi Division Only.

* All belt levels are allowed.

* Matches will follow Black Belt Rules.

* Heel Hooks are NOT allowed.

* Toe Holds and Knee Bars are allowed.

* Official weigh-in required for all athletes.

* Athletes must arrive at least 60 minutes before their matches.

* No registration on the event day.

* Registration must be completed before the deadline.

This championship is organized as the official National Trials Edition to support the development of Jiu-Jitsu in the Sultanate of Oman and help establish a strong future national team representing Oman in regional and international events.

The event follows the success of the first Oman National Team Jiu-Jitsu Championship previously organised in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture, Sports & Youth.

* Black Belt Rules Applied

* Heel Hooks are prohibited

* Knee Bars are allowed

* Toe Holds are allowed

* Reaping is not allowed

* Athletes must wear clean White, Blue, or Black Gi only

* Rashguards under Gi are allowed

* Fingernails and toenails must be trimmed

* Respect towards referees, staff, coaches, and athletes is mandatory.

* Unsportsmanlike behavior may lead to disqualification.

* Coaches must remain in designated coaching areas.

* Any misconduct may result in removal from the event.

**AJP EVENT
SAFETY AND HEALTH PLAN**

**Note* - Fighters
are required to bring in their IDs. Those who fail to bring their IDs during
check ins will be disqualified immediately.

Fighters will
weigh in without the Gi. (Example: Rash Guard and Shorts) Only Blue, White, and Black Gis are allowed in the event.

**ALL  STARTS – 04:00 PM**

Fighters are
recommended to be present in the weigh-in area 1 hour before their fights. The
pace of the event will be determined by how the matches go.

Refunds will
only be allowed if there's no fighters in the division and the athlete does not
want the medal.

**Note* - In
case this happens, fighters are allowed to have the option of keeping their
credits in their account for future event registration or membership renewal.
