**Description:** PowerGrappling 2023 Tournament

Game of Taps on Saturday 28th January in Paisley

Kick-off at 11am for mini leagues into knockout tournament format on the day to win the title of PowerGrappling World Champion

Any level can enter and only the winner gets the belt up for grabs in two divisions = under 80kg & 80-100kg [over 100kg is postponed]

The format:

Divisions are in weight classes [under 80kg, 80kg - 100kg]

Competitors will be placed in a mini league using a Round Robin format with the top placed competitor moving onto the knockout stage.

Mini League stage:

Each match is set at 8 minutes.

A submission ends the match with a win

No submission in a match results in a draw

No points in matches, submission only

Knockout stage:

Each match is set at 8 minutes.

A submission ends the match with a win

No submission in a match then a 1 minute break will commence followed by an overtime round of 4 minutes

If no submission after overtime round 3x judges will need to determine a winner based on the competitor that shows the most attempts to win the match
