# SYDNEY JIUJITEIRO'S > Competition in Sutherland, Victoria, Australia | November 21, 2020 – November 22, 2020 ## Overview **Event Type:** Competition **Description:** If you didn't complete payment before we closed registrations unfortunately you have missed out this time Sutherland basketball stadium Doors open**8:00am** Tournament starts**9:00am** **Tournament formats** Juijiteiro's is a modern tournament for both the modern day juijiteiro and submission grappler offering both ibjjf friendly Gi division's and submission grappling Nogi division's. We aim to give all athlete's the experience and platform they deserve from a local event . With generous registration fee's including FREE open weight division's we are also giving FREE registration's for all black belt's. If that's not enough we will also try and entice competitor's with major prize's **Tournament structure**- all weight division's will be double elimination/repecharge or if there's only 2 in a division it will be best of three (kids). Open weight is single elimination Double elimination is the format used by the famed UAEJJ where if you lose your first , second or even third match you still have a chance to fight for bronze . We at jiujteiro's feel this is the best format for competition **Gi**- follow's IBJJF weight and technique's permissible **Nogi**- Modified division's and technique's but with IBJJF weigh division's **Kids and Juvenile Gi & Nogi**- follow's all IBJJF rule's for technique's and weight division's **Match format's**- Gi - IBJJF point structure Nogi - first half of match sub only second half IBJJF point structure without advantages (adults only) **Match times**- kids 3 minute's , juvenile 4 minute's , adult and master 5 minute's **Open weight division**- all open weight division's are free to enter but you must qualify 1st,2nd,3rd for the nogi open's **Weigh in** There will be one single weigh in from when you first enter the venue. You will only need to weigh in the once if you do both Gi and Nogi division's . Weigh in's will be in Nogi attire only . There is no weight allowance for both Gi and Nogi division's . Competitor's only have the one chance to make weight , if not they will be automatically DQ'ed and wont be able to move division's thereafter. example for weigh in- John smith, Gracie Barra registered for... To help us best accommodate you in the case of single fighter divisions you have the ability to put in a note for us on your registration . Just jot down your preference and we will do our best. An example would be "willing to go down in age , not really keen on going up in weight" **Bracket's and schedule** Door's open at 8:00 am and the tournament start's promptly at 9:00 am. Competitor's are required to be present 60 minutes before their match start time. Bracket's and the event schedule will be posted on the Friday prior to the event. You can access these by visiting the Bracket's & Schedule tab. A**real-time**schedule by bracket and**real-time**schedule by match order will be featured on large TV monitors at the event allowing you access to the most up-to-date information available. You can also keep up to date on your mobile device on the smoothcomp account During the event, you will be able to access this information from your mobile device. Competitor's must be in Fighter Bullpen 15 minutes prior to your match time. Please be**one time**to your designated mat to keep the tournament running on time. . **Order of matches** kids gi kids nogi adults and masters gi adults and master open gi adults and masters nogi adults and masters nogi open . **Relevant dates** **Early registration's**- finish 1st November 12:01am **Last day to register**- 17th November 11:59pm **Check day / last chance to cancel -**last day to change and move division's or cancel and receive a full refund - 18th November . **Grand prize's** Winner of**OUTSTANDING ATHLETE**per event wins $250 and a new gi Winner of the overall**OUTSTANDING ATHLETE RANKING 2021**get's 1x Air fare to compete at**IBJJF worlds/masters or a international tournament**of their choice . Only ranking point's from outstanding athlete's count's to overall ranking tally . To compete for OUTSTANDING ATHLETE it’s best to do as many division's as possible to rake in the maximum number of point’s .
