About This Event

Tap Cancer Out is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to raising awareness and funding for cancer-fighting organizations on behalf of the grappling community. On Saturday, October 20th, 2018, we're heading to the Oak Lawn Pavillion for our first Tap Cancer Out Chicago BJJ Open and we're hoping to raise $80,000 in support of our beneficiary, Alex's Lemonade Stand.

Tap Cancer Out is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charity organization founded in 2011 that unites the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu community around a cause: ending cancer. We achieve this by hosting the most philanthropic BJJ tournaments in the world. All our proceeds are given to our beneficiary organizations, which has resulted in over $900,000 donated to our beneficiaries.

If you’ve never heard of our tournaments, they are one-of-a-kind, to say the least. Instead of just paying to compete, tournament competitors can compete for FREE by fundraising on behalf of Tap Cancer Out and our beneficiary, Alex's Lemonade Stand. Plus, the more you fundraise, the more prizes you can earn from our generous sponsors. This is on top of taking part in an incredibly well-organized and positive event.
