# TLA 4 Submission Open

## Overview

**Event Type:** Competition

**Description:** **Event Format:**All divisions will begin as submission-only for the first half of each match. If no submission occurs, points will become active until the end of regulation. There will be no overtimes.

**Round Robin Scoring:**During round-robin matches, competitors will earn points based on the following system:

**Elimination Rounds:**In elimination matches, if a draw occurs, a 3-minute overtime period will follow. Points will start immediately during the overtime. If the tie persists after the overtime, the outcome will be decided by a referee’s decision, focusing on positional dominance and offensive attempts.

**Bracket Structure:**

Our tournament is designed to maximize the number of matches for each athlete and ensure fair competition. Here’s how brackets will be organized:

6–20 Athletes: A multi-stage format will be implemented - Best of one pool

**Tie-Breaker Rules (Before Elimination Matches):**In the event of a tie in the standings, rankings will be determined in the following order:

**Refund Policy:**If we cannot find a suitable bracket for you, a 100% refund will be offered.

**Awards:**Medals will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners in each division.

**Coaches and Spectators:**Coaches are welcome to join their competitors for free, and fans and spectators are also invited to watch the action at no cost!

**Event Schedule and Facilities:**

Competitors are encouraged to arrive starting at 10:00 AM to check in. Fights will begin promptly at 11:00 AM.

A designated changing room and warm-up area will be available to all athletes.

**About TLA Events:**This is TLA’s first time hosting on Smooth Comp, but we’re no strangers to tournaments! Having successfully run two previous TLA tournaments and numerous in-house events, we’re confident this will be our best one yet.
