**Description:** Warkaus Submission Wars 2016 was a submission-only style gym competition held at the Varkaus sports hall. Matches were conducted in Gi, following IBJJF rules with modifications: all matches were 10 minutes long with no points, decided by submission or referee's decision based on activity and submission attempts. Overtime was possible in finals.

The event featured separate divisions for white and colored belts across various weight classes for men and women. Competitors were required to wear a BJJ or Judo Gi, and weigh-ins were conducted with the Gi on. Spectator entry was free, while competitors paid a 10€ cash participation fee on site. Winners received recognition, honor, and product prizes. The organizer, Gracie Barra Varkaus, did not insure competitors, who participated at their own risk. The last day for registration was January 20, 2016.
