**Role:** Head Instructor

**Bio:** Shaï Gerena is a Belgian brown belt and the founder and head coach of Newart Jiu-Jitsu in Wavre. He earned a shot at the Polaris lightweight title by winning the Polaris Contenders tournament at 155 lbs in February 2026, and lost to champion Ethan Crelinsten at Polaris 36.
