Alliance Ottawa is part of the Alliance Team, one of the most successful Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu teams in history. Founded in 1993 by Romero "Jacare" Cavalcanti, Fabio Gurgel, and Alexandre Paiva, Alliance is recognized as one of the best Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu schools in the world, known for their technicality, quality, and professionalism. With over 300 affiliated schools spread throughout Brazil and the world, Alliance has produced hundreds of World Champions, including over 25 at the black belt level. Alliance Ottawa operates under the "Champion's Attitude" philosophy, which emphasizes awareness of the journey and focusing on the present moment rather than the result. The academy believes that the greatest victories come to those who don't settle for mediocrity, encouraging students to go beyond the basics to achieve incredible results. This mindset has helped Alliance produce 15x Male World Champions, 10x Female World Champions, and 4x Juvenile World Champions, with over 30,000 students spread across 31 countries. The academy offers a comprehensive curriculum for all ages and skill levels, including beginner, intermediate, and advanced programs for adults, as well as specialized programs for children (Little Eagles ages 4-6, Kids ages 7-11, and Teens ages 12-15). Training follows Alliance's exclusive modular system, focusing on proper technique progression, self-defense movements, and sequential movement combinations. Classes are available throughout the week with morning, afternoon, and evening sessions to accommodate different schedules.
