We base our teaching and learning on a teaching method created by Rocian Gracie Junior, where Jiu-Jitsu becomes clearer for both students and teachers; the method facilitates the sport's growth. And our goal is to integrate Jiu-Jitsu into the student's life to bring about effective change. Rocian Gracie Jr., Master, 6th-degree black belt, born in Teresópolis-RJ, creator of the Rocian Gracie Jr. Teaching Method. He initially began teaching in the USA, earning his black belt under his uncle, Master Carlson Gracie. He returned to Brazil and in 1998 opened his first academy in São Paulo. He has always understood, even from his own life experience, that each student is unique and some have far more ability to compete in championships than others.

My goal is to build the most comprehensive BJJ encyclopedia anywhere — but good, accurate data is genuinely hard to come by. Records, gyms, belts and nationalities are pieced together from public and community sources, so some of it is incomplete, outdated, or flat-out wrong.
That's where you come in. If you spot something off, tell me and I'll fix it — every correction makes this better for everyone. This website wouldn't be possible without the community.
