**Name:** Roots Jiu-Jitsu

**Description:** Head coach Ben Wyard is a black belt and IBJJF European Gold Medalist who focuses on guiding beginners through their first steps in BJJ. Co-coach Bea Fernandes is a purple belt and IBJJF European Champion in the female adult division. The assistant coaching team includes three brown belts: Ben Jennings and Mike Hussein, both experienced competitors, and Alex Ridley, who brings a wrestling background to the instruction. Classes run six days a week for both adults and kids aged 4-15, split between traditional gi and no-gi sessions, with sparring during class kept optional. The club also offers guidance for students preparing to compete. Training takes place at the Murrayside Community Centre, and the first lesson is free.
