Asenjo Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu School is a family-owned academy in Orlando, Florida, founded by husband-and-wife team Diego and Fernanda Asenjo. The school emphasizes building character, confidence, and community through the practice of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Their mission centers on training individuals with solid values including righteousness, courage, benevolence, respect, sincerity, honor, and loyalty.
Diego Asenjo, a 5th-degree black belt with over 30 years of dedication to BJJ, holds degrees in Physical Education and Exercise Physiology. With more than 20 years of teaching experience, he has achieved significant competitive success including Brazilian National Champion, International Master Champion, 3rd place at the World Championship, and 3rd place at the Pan-American Championship. Fernanda Asenjo, a black belt and 5x Pan American Champion, brings 30 years of teaching experience working with children. She combines her background in dance and degrees in Physical Education and Exercise Physiology to offer a unique perspective to training.
The school offers programs for kids, kids competition, women, and adults, all designed to cultivate leaders both on and off the mat. Asenjo BJJ creates a safe and nurturing environment where students develop self-confidence, discipline, resilience, cooperation, and empathy.
