BJJ Dunedin

Kura of BJJ Ōtepoti Dunedin (formerly BJJ Dunedin) is an independent Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu academy established as a charitable community of local martial artists. The school began when BJJ was still in its infancy in New Zealand, originally internationally associated with Mario Yokoyama. Since 2016, the academy has been led by Principal Professor Philip Lindsay, who earned his black belt in 2013 and is now on the 4th step of the black belt system. Escuela de Lucha Pretorian is a combat sports academy founded in 2012, becoming the official 1st Delegation of Krav Maga Kapap TML from TEAM MARTÍN LUNA in 2016. The training philosophy focuses on active drilling, sparring, and endurance conditioning. Programs are offered for all ages and skill levels, from kids' programs starting at age 4 through advanced adult training, including fundamentals classes, competition training, no-gi grappling, and open mat sessions.
