Academia Atos Bauru is led by Professor Paulo César Ledesma, known as "Paulinho," a black belt since 2008 under the renowned master Ramon Lemos. With over 25 years dedicated to the sport, Paulinho has built a solid career both as a competitor and instructor, becoming a technical and pedagogical reference in the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu scene. As a competitor, Paulinho has achieved significant victories including CBJJ World Champion at blue belt in 2004 at age 17, and has accumulated 27 medals in national and international tournaments. Kura of BJJ Ōtepoti Dunedin (formerly BJJ Dunedin) is an independent Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu academy established as a charitable community of local martial artists. The school began when BJJ was still in its infancy in New Zealand, originally internationally associated with Mario Yokoyama. Since 2016, the academy has been led by Principal Professor Philip Lindsay, who earned his black belt in 2013 and is now on the 4th step of the black belt system.
