Why do I love armbars? Well, it’s simple – something so satisfying about twisting someone’s arm into submission! Don’t get me wrong, I’m not a sadist (at least, not entirely), but a particular joy comes with successfully executing a technique that puts your opponent in such a vulnerable position. Maybe it’s the look on their face as they apply the pressure or the feeling of accomplishment when they tap out. Or perhaps it’s just that armbars are a signature move in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and who doesn’t love showing off their skills on the mat? Whatever the reason, I can’t get enough of armbars. I spend hours practicing the technique, honing my skills and perfecting my form. And when I finally had the opportunity to apply an armbar in an actual match, it was like all that hard work paid off in the most deliciously satisfying way. So yeah, I do this because I love to give armbars. And if you ever find yourself on the wrong end of one of my submissions, don’t worry – I promise to be gentle…ish.
