#112 - Levi Jones Leary and Alanis | Jiujitsu Champions

From Beyond Jiu Jitsu

September 30, 2022 · 1:29:42

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’d know Levi Jones Leary. Multiple time coloured belt world champion, 2019 Euros champion (defeating Lucas Lepri), 2019 Pans champion (defeating Renato Canuto) and 2019 Spyder Invitational champion. You may also know Levi from his Gi brand / instagram handle Xanadu God.

Alanis is also a very decorated jiujitsu athlete in her own right boasting the 2022 2nd place finish at IBJJF World Championships at brown belt and has set her sights on 2023 Worlds and ADCC in 2024.

This conversation with Levi and Alanis features everything from hiphop, what it’s like training at Unity in the USA, fashion, putting yourself out there and of course, jiujitsu.

It's a mess, I know.

My goal is to build the most comprehensive BJJ encyclopedia anywhere — but good, accurate data is genuinely hard to come by. Records, gyms, belts and nationalities are pieced together from public and community sources, so some of it is incomplete, outdated, or flat-out wrong.

That's where you come in. If you spot something off, tell me and I'll fix it — every correction makes this better for everyone. This website wouldn't be possible without the community.
