Eddie Bravo, founder of the groundbreaking Eddie Bravo Invitational (EBI), has hinted that the promotion may be nearing its end, stating he feels "not needed" anymore. His comments, made on "The Joe Rogan Experience" podcast, suggest that EBI's mission to popularize submission-only grappling has largely been accomplished, leading to his potential step back.

Bravo attributes his feeling of being unneeded to the widespread adoption of the EBI ruleset by larger organizations. He noted that major promotions like ONE Championship and the UFC Fight Pass Invitational are now successfully utilizing similar submission-only formats, effectively achieving what EBI set out to do: showcase exciting, finish-oriented no-gi grappling to a broader audience.

EBI played a pivotal role in shaping the modern no-gi grappling landscape, introducing innovative rules like the overtime system and providing a significant platform for many elite grapplers.
