This is what I wrote 10 years ago: There is only one reason why I keep fighting tournaments, to challenge myself. This challenge, I believe, keeps me motivated to train and improve, when I get on the mat I'm seeking to be better than I was and avoid mistakes based on my previous experiences.
Logically, who's got that mentality has no negative sentiment towards the opponent and that is not only a beautiful speech, I've proof that in plenty of fights.
I'm not saying that rivalry and sometimes a dose of aggression should not exist, but even if there is a personal reason, the aggression must be the most under control. Championship is not you against the other, it's you against the last version of yourself.

It's a mess, I know.

My goal is to build the most comprehensive BJJ encyclopedia anywhere — but good, accurate data is genuinely hard to come by. Records, gyms, belts and nationalities are pieced together from public and community sources, so some of it is incomplete, outdated, or flat-out wrong.

That's where you come in. If you spot something off, tell me and I'll fix it — every correction makes this better for everyone. This website wouldn't be possible without the community.
