To deal with this accumulation of damage it's important not to ignore the causes and rely on pain killers or anti-inflammatories. It starts with a disciplined approached to not roll to the death and if the intensity of the exchange is outside of your control implement strategies to have lighter rolls to alternate your intensity on the mat.
