Daniel Camarillo vs Dailton Alves Vildal IBJJF Master Worlds 2023 match 4

This was by far the strongest individual I have ever rolled with. He would get a sleeve grip that I just couldnt break and almost couldnt move. So I decided to try and get my own grip that would threaten him enough to get him to change his grips. Thought I would get called stalling for not moving much cause I just couldnt get the grips I wanted. As you can see I get mount twice but get pushed right off like nothing. I was leading this match 7 - 2 near the end. About 1.5 minutes left I get rolled. I stuck my hand where I shouldnt have. I should have just hid everything and held on until the end. He capitalized on my mistake and it cost me this match. I honestly believe it cost me the Gold Medal. Until next time!

It's a mess, I know.

My goal is to build the most comprehensive BJJ encyclopedia anywhere — but good, accurate data is genuinely hard to come by. Records, gyms, belts and nationalities are pieced together from public and community sources, so some of it is incomplete, outdated, or flat-out wrong.

That's where you come in. If you spot something off, tell me and I'll fix it — every correction makes this better for everyone. This website wouldn't be possible without the community.
