Recently I saw a video of a young grappler who took down a man with an axe.
To me it demonstrated, yet again and to the dismay of the internet trolls that hate BJJ, that combat sports and BJJ, while not truly realistic in their sport form, work in fights.
I share some ideas as to why this is and why combat sports are far more realistic compared to much of the self-defense training that doesn't emphasize live training on a consistent basis.
