Mouth Covers in BJJ (Dick Move or Legit Strategy?)

At this weekend’s 2026 ADCC championship there was a whole situation with a bite & brawl afterwards that led to Dorian Alvarez being DQ’d.

I posted about it on IG and how I hated that Dorian got bit in the 1st place and people complained about the mouth cover.

So I wanted to do a video, for a sort of reminder and education that mouth covers are legal in some BJJ competitions.

And in general, if you compete in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, be ready for your opponent to be rough and a little bit of a dick during the match. Not that they will be, but the level of intensity in a competition is very different, in many cases, than a roll in the gym with your training partners.
