Today we have a question from an anonymous woman who is a 30 year old blue belt, 125 pounds, and 4ft 11 inches tall.
She sent me a message basically saying that she has been training at this gym, where she is the smallest person, and when rolling with these bigger guys they don't take it easy and can be very dangerous.
In one incident, she was sent to the ER after her bigger male training partner put her in a tight Kesa Katatame hold.
She says that the partners are dangerous in general. She even tried to address this with her coach, but he seemed to not care.
She wants to join another gym, but wants to know what she needs to look out for when joining her next gym, so she doesn't end up in a similar situation.
This is a pretty crappy situation and I'll do my best to answer.
Hopefully you find this helpful.
Thanks for watching.
