Today's question comes from a viewer who is a newly promoted Purple Belt, who is having the opposite reaction that most people have when they get promoted in Jiu-Jitsu.
She does NOT want the promotion.
She says, she was a blue belt for about 8 months, and she was not very consistent. She expressed to the coach that she didn't think she was ready, but the coach still promoted her.
It's rough for her, because she's at a level she does not think she's ready for, and she's worried about the ramifications for competing for IBJJF due to regulations, amongst other worries.
She asked if I had any experience with that, and how she can talk to her coach without being too confrontational about it.
I have tons of experience actually, and hopefully the advice I give in this video helps her out.
Thanks for watching.
