DARUMA DOJO - TWO HANDS ONE NECK BJJ TECHNIQUE - LEARN JIU JITSU - PROFESSOR ALBERTO JUAREZ

From Daruma Dojo

In Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, control comes before the submission.

In today's technique, Professor Alberto Juarez demonstrates "2 Hands, 1 Neck," a simple but effective concept for establishing back control.

By controlling both of your opponent's hands behind their back, you limit their ability to defend, creating a clear path to attack the neck from the rear.

The best submissions don't come from speed or strength. They come from control, timing, and patience.

Master the control, and the submission becomes much easier.

It's a mess, I know.

My goal is to build the most comprehensive BJJ encyclopedia anywhere — but good, accurate data is genuinely hard to come by. Records, gyms, belts and nationalities are pieced together from public and community sources, so some of it is incomplete, outdated, or flat-out wrong.

That's where you come in. If you spot something off, tell me and I'll fix it — every correction makes this better for everyone. This website wouldn't be possible without the community.
