From Double Five South Ms

Meet the Westberry's and hear their story on how Jiu-Jitsu has positively impacted their lives. American Martial Art Academy has a dedicated teaching and instructional staff that continually seeks the best in our students. Our teaching staff is under the guidance of 2nd Degree Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt Professor Erick Raposo and Brown Belt Instructor Jim Fiore. Both have dedicated their lives to teaching and developing kids and adults in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Self Defense.

Student Review - "Absolutely the most professional MMA/BJJ academy on the coast! If your looking for a martial arts academy that will welcome you with open arms this is the place. If you want to send your kids to a place to learn a martial art I would highly recommend AMAA HQ as they have top notch instructors that will teach them the right way with an emphasis on values and moral character. It's a mess, I know.

My goal is to build the most comprehensive BJJ encyclopedia anywhere — but good, accurate data is genuinely hard to come by. Records, gyms, belts and nationalities are pieced together from public and community sources, so some of it is incomplete, outdated, or flat-out wrong.

That's where you come in. If you spot something off, tell me and I'll fix it — every correction makes this better for everyone. This website wouldn't be possible without the community.
