This is Giovanni's story.

He walked through the doors of East LA Jiu-Jitsu from a family shelter. He came from gangs. From substances. From a childhood with no role model. Today, his daughters train alongside him three days a week. They're leaders at school. They're off their phones. And Giovanni is becoming the father he never had.

At East LA Jiu-Jitsu (ELAJJ), no student is ever turned away because of money. We operate on a sliding-scale model, and stories like Giovanni's are why we exist.
