Norma Lozoya Toothman: The Woman Behind the Campaign | Grappling with Grace

From Gallegos Jiu Jitsu Chula Vista

October 19, 2026

Before you hear someone’s platform, get to know their story.

On this episode of Grappling with Grace, I sit down with Norma Lozoya Toothman, candidate for Chula Vista Elementary School District Board, Seat 3, to get to know the woman behind the campaign.

We explore her journey, faith, heart for serving others, and why she wants to represent our children and families.

Leadership carries responsibility. These decisions affect real children, real parents, and the future of our community.

Watch the conversation, hear her perspective, and get informed.

Subscribe to Grappling with Grace for more conversations about faith, leadership, purpose, and the people shaping our community.

It's a mess, I know.

My goal is to build the most comprehensive BJJ encyclopedia anywhere — but good, accurate data is genuinely hard to come by. Records, gyms, belts and nationalities are pieced together from public and community sources, so some of it is incomplete, outdated, or flat-out wrong.

That's where you come in. If you spot something off, tell me and I'll fix it — every correction makes this better for everyone. This website wouldn't be possible without the community.
