GB2 by Carlos Maia: Full Circle in Arizona | Docuseries – Episode 4

For Professor Carlos Maia, Jiu-Jitsu has always been about more than the mats. In this final episode, we see his journey come full circle in Arizona, where he continues sharing the art of Gracie Barra Jiu-Jitsu with students worldwide through teaching, mentoring, and his GB2 curriculum on GB Online coming September 28th.

From his early days in Rio to building schools across continents, Carlos Maia’s mission has remained the same: to preserve the essence of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu while giving back to the community. In Arizona, that mission continues as he teaches, records, and contributes to the next generation of instructors and students.

This episode captures the honor of being part of Gracie Barra’s curriculum team — preserving the self-defense roots of Jiu-Jitsu, mentoring instructors, and ensuring the philosophy of discipline, respect, and resilience continues to grow. For Maia, it’s not just about teaching techniques; it’s about honoring where it all began.
