May 26, 2026

It’s almost time for 10X World Champion Gabi Pessanha to return to the mats at the 2026 World Championship.

This weekend, she’ll be chasing history as she goes for an incredible 11th and 12th World title, which would set the women’s all-time record.

We can’t wait to watch her continue her pursuit of greatness.

The IBJJF World Jiu-Jitsu Championship takes place May 28–31 in Long Beach. Watch all matches live on @flograppling.

It's a mess, I know.

My goal is to build the most comprehensive BJJ encyclopedia anywhere — but good, accurate data is genuinely hard to come by. Records, gyms, belts and nationalities are pieced together from public and community sources, so some of it is incomplete, outdated, or flat-out wrong.

That's where you come in. If you spot something off, tell me and I'll fix it — every correction makes this better for everyone. This website wouldn't be possible without the community.
