In January 1967, Spc. 5 Roger Lockshier reported to Fort Campbell, Kentucky. Before long, he was in Vietnam, flying as a helicopter crew chief and door gunner. He supported combat operations alongside the 101st Airborne Division; flew missions with MACV-SOG, the war's secretive special operations unit; and was shot down in the aftermath of the Tet Offensive.
He kept the aircraft flying, manned the guns, and helped carry troops into some of the war's most dangerous missions. We're honored to share his story. Thank you for your service, Roger.
