The Emirates Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Team, did a two-day exhibition at the Formula 1 Fan Zone in Abu Dhabi's Corniche. Abu Dhabi has been a model in the development of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu; the sport was introduced in public schools where kids between 09 and 13 years old have classes as part of their curriculum, also with the creation of the World Professional Jiu-Jitsu Cup, the biggest and most professional event of Jiu-Jitsu, also based in the capital of UAE.
In this video we have just a few movements of warm up and some techniques, there were other children, women and men's presentations that unfortunately I don't have. If you got curious and interested come and check out our classes at the Abu Dhabi Combat Club, a legendary club of martial arts, for yourself. The ADCC is located inside the Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club.

By the way, thanks to Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan for all of his support!

It's a mess, I know.

My goal is to build the most comprehensive BJJ encyclopedia anywhere — but good, accurate data is genuinely hard to come by. Records, gyms, belts and nationalities are pieced together from public and community sources, so some of it is incomplete, outdated, or flat-out wrong.

That's where you come in. If you spot something off, tell me and I'll fix it — every correction makes this better for everyone. This website wouldn't be possible without the community.
