November 14, 2025

At UMA Brooklyn, our Ping Choi–Gua Choi flow teaches you to blend Jeet Kune Do trapping with boxing fundamentals in one smooth striking sequence.

Option 2 breakdown:
• Ping Choi to break timing and line.
• Gua Choi to cut the angle and disrupt structure.
• Pak Sao ➝ Lob Sao to control the bridge.
• Boxing finish: Cross → Hook → Cross for clean power shots.

This combo builds rhythm, timing, line recognition, and power mechanics, and helps fighters transition from trapping range to boxing range with confidence.

It's a mess, I know.

My goal is to build the most comprehensive BJJ encyclopedia anywhere — but good, accurate data is genuinely hard to come by. Records, gyms, belts and nationalities are pieced together from public and community sources, so some of it is incomplete, outdated, or flat-out wrong.

That's where you come in. If you spot something off, tell me and I'll fix it — every correction makes this better for everyone. This website wouldn't be possible without the community.
