🏆 THE MAN BEHIND THE PBJJF ORLANDO TOURNAMENT! 🥋🔥October 4, 2026

From Vieira Jiu-Jitsu

I had the opportunity to interview Ricardo Ribeiro, the man behind the PBJJF Orlando tournament and also a highly accomplished Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competitor.

In this interview, Ricardo talks about his journey in Jiu-Jitsu, his accomplishments as a fighter, and what goes into organizing a major competition that brings athletes and teams together on the mats.

It’s always interesting to hear from someone who understands Jiu-Jitsu from both sides — as a competitor and as the person helping create the stage for others to compete.

Much respect to Ricardo Ribeiro for everything he continues to do for the Jiu-Jitsu community. 🥋🏆

It's a mess, I know.

My goal is to build the most comprehensive BJJ encyclopedia anywhere — but good, accurate data is genuinely hard to come by. Records, gyms, belts and nationalities are pieced together from public and community sources, so some of it is incomplete, outdated, or flat-out wrong.

That's where you come in. If you spot something off, tell me and I'll fix it — every correction makes this better for everyone. This website wouldn't be possible without the community.
