πŸ”₯ WHO WINS MORE β€” GUARD PULLERS OR GUARD PASSERS? πŸ₯‹πŸ˜³

In general, neither guard pullers nor passers automatically win more often β€” it depends a lot on the ruleset, skill level, and style matchup.

In sport BJJ, guard pullers can do very well because pulling guard lets them avoid the takedown battle and immediately start attacking sweeps and submissions. Passers can have the advantage if they’re good at staying on top, scoring the pass, and controlling the pace.

A simple way to think about it: a strong guard puller can dictate where the match starts; a strong passer can dictate where the match finishes.

For a YouTube hook, though, this is great:

It's a mess, I know.

My goal is to build the most comprehensive BJJ encyclopedia anywhere β€” but good, accurate data is genuinely hard to come by. Records, gyms, belts and nationalities are pieced together from public and community sources, so some of it is incomplete, outdated, or flat-out wrong.

That's where you come in. If you spot something off, tell me and I'll fix it β€” every correction makes this better for everyone. This website wouldn't be possible without the community.
